Sal J. Rafanelli, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder

Sal J. Rafanelli, RPh, founded BiologicTx® with his two partners, Darrin Carrico and Todd Krasinsky, RN, and assumed his current role as CEO, after holding management and executive positions with some of the top specialty and infusion pharmacies in the industry including Walgreens/Express Scripts, Caremark and BioScrip. He was also a founding partner of American Disease Management Associates (ADIMA) where he was the director of clinical operations and an instrumental part of ADIMA’s growth into a leading specialty and home infusion pharmacy that produced successive monthly revenue growth along with positive earnings for consecutive years since its inception. Rafanelli was also promoted to president of the east coast division of a large publicly traded specialty pharmacy, where he lead a team that built five additional sites, and developed innovative patient focused programs, that tripled revenue organically in the region.

 

BiologicTx® was founded on the principles of creating a company that could and will make a true difference in patient’s quality of life. As CEO, Mr. Rafanelli and his team have set out to create unique programs that produce positive patient outcomes and ultimately save lives. Among his list of accomplishments, Rafanelli has earned the reputation for building innovative companies with a key focus on providing excellence in patient care.

 

Rafanelli has a bachelor’s degree from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Allied Health Sciences in Boston, Massachusetts, and has completed his internship and clinical clerkship at Brigham and Women’s and Mt. Auburn hospitals, respectively.

 

Rafanelli and his wife have two daughters and reside in Northern New Jersey.

Darrin Carrico founded BiologicTx® with his two partners, Sal J. Rafanelli, RPh, and Todd Krasinsky, RN, and assumed his current role as President after serving as the Vice President of Transplant Services at BioScrip, one of the nation’s largest specialty pharmacies. He assumed this position after leading the successful acquisition of his former company, Intravenous Therapy Services. Carrico was previously a consultant with Per-Se Technologies (acquired by McKesson), where he assisted with the commercial launch of a new business unit and partnership with XIFIN. Carrico also served as a Vice President at XIFIN, the company that pioneered SaaS Clinical Laboratory Financial Systems and managed services. He successfully created a sales infrastructure and played an early and central role in developing and executing a strategy that has established XIFIN as a clear market leader. In total, Carrico has more than 23 years of specialty pharmacy and technology management experience primarily within market changing, early stage companies.

 

BiologicTx® was founded on the principles of building a company that could make a true difference in the transplant community. As President, Carrico has set out to create forward thinking programs that will change the thought process and capabilities in which transplant centers treat patients and process data. These changes will produce more accurate and rapid results that will ultimately better and save patients’ lives.

 

Carrico has a Bachelor’s Degree from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana.

 

Carrico and his wife have two children and reside in Southern California.

Todd Krasinsky, RN, founded BiologicTx® with his two partners, Darrin Carrico and Sal J. Rafanelli, RPh, and assumed his current role as Chief Development Officer after acquiring twenty years of experience in strategic sales management in home infusion therapies, healthcare administration, clinical nursing practices, and national business development. Mr. Krasinsky began his career as an acute care nurse in emergency medicine and intensive care and then advanced to become an administrator in nursing management. Mr. Krasinsky then joined BioScrip as the IVIg Product Sales Support Manager and created a niche market for specialty infusion. He became the leader of IVIg therapy sales in the specialty therapy market and formed new territories to expand business development initiatives.

 

As Chief Development Officer, Mr. Krasinsky has identified the need for clinical expertise in solid organ transplantation and has driven BiologicTx® to the forefront as a premiere national transplant therapy management company. Mr. Krasinsky’s commitment to BiologicTx® and its sales force, has driven new market development within the areas of Transplantation, Clinical Data Management, Clinical Trials and Kidney Paired Donation. Mr. Krasinsky has dedicated himself to the progression of medicine and improving patient care for over 20 years. His passion to make a difference in patients and families lives is being achieved every day.

 

Mr. Krasinsky is a graduate of Mattatuck College of Nursing in Waterbury, Connecticut.

 

Mr. Krasinsky and his wife have four children and reside in Connecticut.

Todd Krasinsky, RN, founded BiologicTx® with his two partners, Darrin Carrico and Sal J.
